Definition of a Smart City - Inputs Needed
Dear all:
As many of you may be aware, our Ministry has initiated work on the Smart City initiative with 100 cities of India to be classified as Smart Cities.
With this post, we would like to seek citizen inputs on the definition of a Smart City. What is it that an ideal Smart City should have from a citizen and community standpoint.
While defining this, please keep in mind citizen amenities/services and current state of Indian cities.
The idea is to have a clear definition of an Indian Smart City, followed by developing a robust evaluation criteria that can be used to pick the 100 Smart Cities of India.
