Crown Came Off
My father's crown came off 3 weeks ago. Should a dentist charge for putting it back. How much is a reasonable charge? more

Friends, These are world wide problems and there is no preventive natural cure or prevention in the world except the ancient AYURVEDA- Vedik- measures. 3 weeks is a small period for a crown to go off. The dentist who got it made and fixed it should first check for any defects and if not refix it free. If crown is with some defects, a good dentist should acknowledge it and get a new one made and fix at nominal cost, not exceeding 25% of the original cost of crown and charges for fixing. more

In more cases than not, a dislodged crown is because of some underlying reason and just recementation may not provide a long term solution. In about 80-90% cases a crown once out will keep coming out repeatedly. So a new crown may be indicated in such cases. more

Ya definitely a dentist shall charge for putting back the crown.. Around 15-20% of the crown cost.. more
