Cracks within BJP - even before Modi's election
Wow- one almost wonders what happens after election results...
Does anyone think that the old guards may kick Modi out post elections???
Kanpur: In another indication that the senior brigade of the BJP is not entirely happy with the way the party is hastily moving forward, senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi on Sunday said there was no Modi wave but only a BJP wave.
"Modi is a representative of the BJP as its prime ministerial candidate. He gets support from the party and its leaders across the country," Joshi told the media here when asked if there was a wave in favour of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
Joshi said the Gujarat model would not be implemented as the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) model if the BJP-led NDA wins the Lok Sabha election.
Joshi said the decision to deny ticket to former BJP leader Jaswant Singh from Barmer constituency was not a collective one.
"The decision ... did not come for the discussion," said Joshi, adding the matter could have been handled differently.
Joshi, who in the last general elections represented the Varanasi seat, had to vacate it for Modi, who wanted to win in eastern UP or Poorvanchal.
A win in Uttar Pradesh, which has 80 Lok Sabha seats, is a big determination of who will form the next government.
Some people know more than other people and few people know more than even God and declaring everthing from winning to losing and future of all political parties. People must constult them

Asha Gupta Ji, Modi ji has highjaked BJP. All the BJP leaders are compagining for MODI more and very less for BJP. This situation will remain up to 15the May 2014. After declaration of results actual face of BJP will be shown to the public whether BJP comes into power or not. At present Modi has finalised his dream cabinet in which no senior leader will play his role and only Modi Bhakts will be given 100% representation and bal representation will be offered to those who have joined BJP recently.

@Asha Gupta - Nothing new in this. Monolithic structures like the BJP and Congress are prone to cracks. As regards the taking of unilateral decisions by the leader of a party political, again nothing new in this. AK took the decision to resign the Delhi Govt. without consulting the rank and file of the party. This certainly ensures quick decision making.

Every party has their share of concern or dissident people . Senior people of every field need grace ful retirement. they should get there due respect and respectful retirement. But senior leader should also give way to next generation. Transitional phase always have pain and bickering. if result are favourable then all is ok otherwise Modi will blamed and shall find a place in History. If he is abale to form a govt. then it may be turning point for BJP and national.
