I agree. My doctor son and two senior citizen in my family got covishiled second with in 28 days around March 2021. We couple got second dose after nearly 90 days gap around August first week. Though we all spent some days together, the first 3 of them got virus infected and were in isolation three weeks back bur recovered well. Whereas we were not so affected. My another son who took covaxin both doses is also unaffected. I agree with the research finding and wish the second and booster doses be given as per findings.

Even if the vaccines have not been available within the time gap prescribed by the government, take it as soon as it is available in your area

Research & study on vaccines will change previous discoveries which we have noticed/experienced in every field. Should this be applied in covishield case, it may change with respect to gaps. Improvised medicines and vaccines are quite common. There is vast change between operation done decades back and now. There are exceptions.
