Corruption Kills and my question
Do you think any of the two parties Congress or BJP will do anything about road corruption? I for sure don't think so.; AAP is the only hope!
"A corrupt government mechanism and cynical industry have combined to make Indian roads the deadliest in the world"
April 23, 2014 - The Hindu
Forty five-year-old cardiologist Pankaj Gupta and his four-year-old daughter Liveshya have become the latest additions to India’s most heartbreaking statistic — the number of people killed in road accidents in the country. The duo were crushed by a speeding bus in Gurgaon on Monday, while young Liveshya was being escorted by her father to what would have been her first day in school.
The shocking part is not the tragedy of a young family destroyed by a reckless act, or even the needless waste of life and snuffing out of potential. The real shocker is the regularity with which such accidents happen in India. Such deaths are so commonplace in India’s cities that the media now only takes care of the particularly gruesome or shocking ones, with the others being consigned to some anonymous police record somewhere.
According to the National Crime Records Bureau, a staggering 1,39,091 died on Indian roads due to accidents — that is more than 16 people an hour, making India by far the leader in the road death charts. According to World Health Organisation statistics, the death rate per one lakh population in India on account of road accidents was 18.9 last year, making road accidents one of the country’s deadliest killers. In fact, a 2012 World Bank study estimated that the death toll due to accidents is probably in excess of 200,000 per year, including unreported, and willfully misreported mishaps.
A deadly cocktail of a corrupt governance mechanism which allows unqualified drivers and unfit vehicles on the roads, a cynical industry which games regulations and bends policymakers to avoid giving basic safety mechanisms as standard fitment on vehicles, and a colossally lackadaisical attitude to safety among users has made India the accident capital of the world. More than 15 per cent of all road accident fatalities happen in India, home to barely 1 per cent of the world vehicle population. The absence of road safety instructions and the lack of deterrent punishment have only served to perpetuate attitudes. But at the heart of the problem lies a singularly corrupt transport administration and police force, which has led to a near total lack of regulatory enforcement on road safety.
This is not the ‘no harm, no foul’ kind of corruption which can at least be tolerated. This is corruption which kills. It is time we did something about it.
Brother, there is nothing a Dalal can do and an official cannot, its like we make them do the right, its us who have these corrupt, police / ant other officials acting like this. They expext because we gave them. Now its like, we have to make them do what they ought to without any extra reward involved.

SUPRATIK GUPTA JI, REALLY YOU HAVE AGGRESSIVE THOUGHTS JUST LIKE US AS ALL OF US HAVE BEEN SUFFERING FROM ALL THESE ILLNESSES (PROBLEMS) SPREAD AROUND THE COUNTRY. BUT "WHERE THERE IS A PROBLEM, THERE IS A SOLUTION CONTAINED THEREIN". ALL OF US CAN SOLVE ALL THE PROBLEMS SITTING IN MOHALLA SABHAS(AS PER SWARAJ QANOON PROPOSED BY "AAP") AS WELL AS CAN REDRESS THE GRIEVANCES OURSELVES BY SUBMITTING RECOMMENDATIONS TO OUR LOCAL COUNCILLORS, M.L.A. OR M.P. ARVIND HAS SAID THAT NO LAW CAN BE PASSED OR MODIFIED OR REVISED WITHOUT THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF MOHALLA SABHAS FOR WHERE SUCH LAW OR RULE REQUIRED. THEREFORE, ALL OF US HAVE TO BE UNITED AND DO NOT LOSE YOUR HEART. IN LAST, THERE DOES NO PERMANENT PROBLEM EXIST IN THIS WORLD. FOR THE TIME BEING, IT IS GOT SOLVED. THANKS!

If there is will there is a way for everything. It happened during the tenure of Mr. Kejriwal as Chief Minister .The officilas were afraid to take bribes. Then regarding the incompetency of the officials they are not incopetent as you think. They are capable but delay the things for bribe.Fix a time frame for every work and if the officials fail to stick to the time frame they should be taken to task. If they don't improve they should be given marching orders. There is no scarcity of competent and faithful officials in our system. I think it is not a difficult task.

You may think that AAP is the only organization who will take care of corruption? Can you tell us how? let me take one case at a time  a) I wish to make a company. I have to first go through a CA to submit documents that    can be done by most of us. They ask us hefty amount of 25-30K. then additional amount    for their effort. I ask them break up, they can't give as most is for bribe. How can you stop CA    as a conduit for bribe? b) Go to any court, it looks at your pocket. You cannot file your case yourself and has to go through    a lawyer. These people never give and receipt of money received. There is a nexus, they keep extending    dates to extract more money. c) Get a electricity connection or registrar office, there is a dalal seating outside who fills up everything.    He takes money and distribute. First I fail to understand the requirement of stamp paper. We can purchase the stamp paper, type at home and get signature, it takes a few hours. But they don't want it.   They want us to give the documents, they will at night take it to a typist, next day give it to us for signature, then to a notary and all these efforts.. all stupid. d) Police works 12 hours as they get bride  Now how will AAP address these problems. If you stop bribe, police will say they will not work more then 8 hours, what do you do? If these dalals vanish, the people inside are incompetent idiots.  Supratic On Saturday, 26 April 2014 10:37 AM, Vinita Agrawal wrote:
