Corruption in PF Offices - Inputs on Root Causes
Below are the key corruption issues as highlighted by you in regards to Corruption at PF Offices.

1. Officials keep finding faults and reject the file if a bribe is not paid
2. Peons ask for money to move the file
3. Claimants are told that the signatures of the higher officials are pending and they could pay up to expedite the process
4. The system is manual at a lot of places which leaves the officers with much authority and opportunities to ask for bribes
5. Officials ask for a fixed percentage of your PF amount to help you get your money quickly
6. Since there is no specified time limits to finish tasks, officials keep pushing files forward till they get a bribe
7. Bribes are also paid in kind and also in form of gift cheques
8. People who refuse to give bribes end up going around the PF office again and again without any luck.

Time limit for each transaction. If exceeded online grievance to higher authorities. 4. The system is manual at a lot of places which leaves the officers with much authority and opportunities to ask for bribes All procedures to be made online ASAP 5. If 1 is implemented none will ask for bribes. When 3 is implemented the other one will stop.

As per present rules, an employee is given a single PF Account No. in his lifetime which never changes under whichever employer he works.

Dear Rameshji, Out of 12% employer contribution 8.33% goes to pension fund. Your 12% plus ( employer's 12% minus 8.33% i.e., 3.67% ) which makes a total of 15.67% is shown in the slip an employee receives every year along with the declared interest. From this you can arrive at the amount in pension fund. If your slip shows Rs.100000/-. Then amount in pension fund is 100000/15.67 X 8.33 = Rs.53159/- approximately.

Alongwith PF, some part of employer contribution goes to a pension fund scheme started by central govt. in 1995.The statement of this pension fund is never given to employee.If you are working in one state and change job to another state,this pension fund does not get transferred like PF. It is in this pension fund,money gets syphoned off as employee does not have any statement.Can anybody throw any more light on this aspect of corruption?

Orders are not sent to the Pensioners.  2.The Office Staff demand money to implement new order.  3.The Orders are implemented selectively to get money and create problems for    those who do not give money. The officers also support their staff as they are also the beneficiaries.
