Corruption in Districts - Root Causes
DDA has provision for conversion of Lease hold property to Free hold online. I have filled the Form, paid as per Challan, and from 30-03-2015, they have never reverted to me. It said if there was any deficiency they would get back . I have never heard from them via email or SMS.
Finally, I made a personal visit to their Office at Vikas Sadan , but the UDC said he did not have my file.
Met Dy. Director incharge , Mr. Harish, who gave me his phone no. and said he will get back in 2 days time. He has never answered his mobile.
I guess, if I want the job done, I should hire a tout, so that everyone can have share of the Pie.
Its nine months, since I paid the full charges for conversion, but no one is accountable, or answerable. Now, I have gone and submitted the hard copies of the receipts and Application form filled online, along with my documents, as mentioned in the brochure, if I filed for the same in their Office.
No one from DDA Vice Chairmans Office or Lt. Governor , under whom DDA comes, has bothered to answer my emails.What is the use of having this facility online, when nothing gets done ?

Madam, here every where is corruption from top to bottom. Corruption always run from top to bottom.

Concerned person ke office main ja ke apni sandel utaro aur tab tak marte raho uske moo pe jab tab police and press na aajaye, fir ek mail likhna ki "kaisi rahi wo sandel" fir dekhte hain kya kisi ka jawab aata hai..

My father had a similar difficult experience and everyone told us that the only way is to grease the right palms. Since we are determined not to give in to that, we will have to try all other fair means. It might be good if we started a petition in these circles of the many who have stories like this to share and collectively file RTIs and if necessary take those to the LG or CIC-- we can decide later. What does everyone think?

Report the matter to LG and VC with full details. One must not forget that DDA is one of the most corrupt Department of Delhi. Their motto is to earn money, public facility & convenience are in the back burner.
