Corruption in District Administration - Key Issues
1. One needs to pay a bribe to get a marriage certificate made
2. Getting certificates issued or mutation done is not possible without greasing palms
3. If someone is building a house, he would need to pay bribes to get water and electricity connections
4. In the Tehsil office, the files will not move until a bribe is paid
5. The sub-registrar’s office demands extra money for registration of land
6. Land surveyors do not even respond without getting paid
7. The Divisional Revenue offices will make you wait indefinitely if you don’t pay a ‘convenience charge’
8. You can pay bribes and easily get permission for illegal construction
9. You can’t get your arm license renewed without bribery
10. A sale deed cannot be registered without bribery
11. Agents take extra money to get the work done quickly
12. Corrupt employees get promotions while the genuinely sincere employees suffer. more

there is no difference in corruption district wise separately. Initially main departments are local body (Town panchayat, Municipality, Corporation etc.) Taluk Offices, Registration Dept Sub Registrar Office, Transport Department, Police Stations (in many cases through Advocates) Court and in maximum of 95% of Govt Offices it existing. more

People mindset must be changed . People wants their work to be done without any problem. So they are ready to pay gripe more

Our system is great. A former who can not repay the loan of few thousands is harassed to an extent they commit suicide. The big business men take hundreds crores, declare they are penniless and ask for support from government. Has any such businessman committed suicide? The great system. more
