Consumers are to be Protected
Consumer Protection Act 2019 imposed stringent Punishments including 7 Years imprisonment and 10 Lakhs Penalty on Fake and Spurious goods and came into force from July 2020.
No State, Dept of Food & Drug, Police is enforcing this Law on Fake/ Adulterated/Spurious Milk, Ghee, Oils, Biscuits, Packed Foods, Medicines.
No State Govt is controlling undue Profiteering, exorbitant Middlemen Margins. They are thus Cheating General Public at large.
Indian Judiciary to Review this Pathetic Situation at Public Interest FAST.
All our state governments are more interested in politics rather than ensuring protection of interests of their citizens. We elections are on the door steps we very easily become lured of their falls promises and pools of lies in the process of creating partitions in societies. We forget all their past misdeeds and start dancing on their finger tips. Under such a situation when these dishonest and shrewd politicians know well the easiest ways of befooling the people, why should they be worried for the problems of these fools !

During the last 50 years all wings of administration including judiciary have rotten due to non-accountability and corruption. Everywhere money makes a mare go. Unscrupulous business make monthly payments to the health, police or other officials and carry on manufacturing and selling fake, spurious and adulterated products. If by chance they are caught, they quickly buy stay order from court and then weaken the case by using all unethical means and ultimately win the case. Political patronage is all pervasive.There is need to overhaul the system of governance to stem the rot from every institution.

Yes, you are correct. No State nor Central Government is enforcing this Law. Judiciary is more interested in directing the government than ensuring implementation of the law.
