Consumer Protection Act a failure?

Consumer Protection Act was passed in mid June. Will the consumer affair department advise in 5 months what actions were taken under this act

You did a survey and brought class action.

How many did you actually file? I want to know if tax payer money is going down the drain or is the Govt doing something to justify getting paid?

Do revert. If you dont that means you are just inactive more

It has been seen that in most of the cases, Consumer is taken for a ride. As Govt sleeps on such issues and other party has a powerful lobby. more
Looks like consumers will not get any protection & justice more
GOI may publish in dailies, how many cases were booked and action taken for public confidence building and justification of such acts, so that people are encouraged to take action against defaulters. more
There was no necessity to go to Consumer Court more
The Govt. is doing the business of looting Peter to pay Paul. The tax payers money is not being used judiciously. Majority of politicians and Govt. employees say loot/misuse the Govt. funds/assets as it is sarkari paisa and not that of tax payers. If all people are taught the source of sarkari paisa, many ills will come down and Govt. will be comfortable to reduce taxes to give relief to the common man. more
