The scarcity of water is a burning issue and the GOI has taken it very seriously. One thing that we every one see around us in colonies and societies that several people have individual bore well and draw the ground water uncontrolled and even waste it abundantly. This has caused lowering of water level. it is must now that the town planner bodies and government authorities enforce a blanket ban on private bore well in the dwelling units. Secondly additional charge for water consumption be levied from the houses using water for gardening and they must be called upon to arrange water harvesting in under ground tanks for this purpose. more

Upon reading all the views of 36 members, I realised that most of us need to improve understanding of reasoning and logics and this leaves undue space for authorities to act without applying proper and logical approach to the problems. Our country and its common citizens, therefore, will continue to suffer on many accounts. more

Banning of bore wells is not the answer to the problem of receding underground water levels. It is a need for many households because they are not getting the adequate and potable water from the Jal Boards/ Municipal Corporations. Banning bore wells may not help, but at the same time we have to ensure that people do not use their bore well water to make profits. more
