Commutation Time in Ahmedabad

The Commutation time being taken in Ahmedabad for mere 15-20 KM takes more than the Time it takes to travel from Ahmedabd CTM to Vadodara Amit Nagar Circle i.e. near about 100 KM.
It is very difficult to travel in Ahmedabad and is worsening, the main reason is the slow work of bridge construction going on before Isanpur, it seems that it will take another few years to complete and it is very difficult to continue this way, there should be an alternative to this and only the officials can provide the same, hence I plead to please do some thing about it asap. more

the main issue with any traffic control is they are the most corrupt. The traffic department, must ensure that the pedestrian crossing, foot-paths etc. be barricaded well with the support of private companies. the barricades would be installed by the companies for a charge, wherein they can advertise their products. The traffic police need only the planning. echallans is the norm of the day. more
Traffic blocks and consequential delays in travel are an unavoidable part of the City life. If possible, one should prefer to live in the quiet, peaceful and calm villages. Of course, one may have to forgo certain luxuries associated with city life. more
I don't see any solution not only due to huge traffic,or congestion on the road due to haphazard parking of cranes, trucks, but also haphazard careless driving by two , three wheelers right from CTM to Narol cross roads , as well as on the kankaria side road going from ctm to the khokhara side n onwards. The traffic police is mostly off duty place, gross ignorance leaving every thing on RAM BHAROSE. SO BETTER AVOID TRAVELLING, THE BEST WAY IS TO TRAVEL BY TRAIN. I DID SUGGESTED TO STATE GOVT WHEN THE BRTS WAS ON PAPER TO CONSTRUCT RAIL ROUTE ON PILLARS ALL ALONG THE SIDE OF BRTS ROUTE, WHICH WOULD HAVE EASILY COMMUTED THOUSANDS OF TRAVELERS ON BOTH DIRECTION LIKE A CIRCULAR RAIL ROUTE. THERE COULD HAVE BEEN THREE TO FOUR BOGIES TRAIN LIKE DEMU OR MEMU OR WITH SMALL DIESEL ENGINE N THE PASSENGER COULD BOARD OR ALIGHT FROM THE BRIDGE WHICH LANDS ON FOOTPATH JUST OPPOSIT BRTS STOPPAGE STAND. AHMEDABAD,HAD,DISTINCT ADVANTAGE OF ALMOST 75%,ROUTE RIGHT FROM KALUPUR STATION TO SABARMATI, ELLISBRIDGE PALADI ,THE TRACK GOING UP TO SAURASHTRA. BUT AT LAST OUR VISIONARY TOWN PLANNER, THE CENTRAL N STATE GOVT BOTH, AS WELL AS THE BABUS N LEADRES.. JAI HIND more
Depending upon your destination you can decide your route while entering sp ring road . So ring road is 30 km and you can enter In Ahmedabad from more than 30 entey points more
