Clean Public Toilets in Public Offices/Places - Inputs

Dear all:

Based on your inputs on lack of clean public toilets in public offices/places, communication has been sent to all municipal commissioners and civic bodies to ensure that “at least one clean toilet” is installed at all public offices and places across the country.

With this post, we would like to seek your inputs on how the local civic agency can ensure construction/maintenance (more effectively than ever done before) in every public office/place, it would be greatly appreciated.

We will compile that key inputs in a whitepaper and share with all the 4000 Urban Local Bodies.

1All municipal committees and commissions should get up first from a strong sleep. 2Next they should prepare a list of places where the toilets are needed. 3 Then they should prepare a list of local companies who can sponsor the construction of these toilets in the public interest. 4 Their sponsorship must be advertised and A mark should be left in each toilet for their sponsorship 5 Then for maintenance periodical sponsor can be arranged. 6 Most Important Action part of all this have to done by municipal employees only. 7 All Municipal Board must ensure the Action. more

Ex-Service men need to be deployed at school and college levels to continously harvest/ hammer next generation on discipline, basic life style manners, health and cleanliness. This should be done repeatedly every week with a view that this investment of time and resources will pay off later to a greater extent. Preaching is the only way out, in a solid, disciplined way. more
places around railway stations are worst maintained and it is not clear who is directly responsible for upkeep at any time more
