CITIZENS TAKE OVER OF CITY IMPROVEMENT
IMMEDIATE NEED: We can pressurize the government to introduce a information system in every ward of the city.
A public display shall contain both in Kannada and English with the designation , office address , Phone and mobile numbers of all BBMP Road, BWSSB, BESCOM and HEALTH officials advising the public to contact if there is any problem in the service of the public including water line breach,potholes, electrical repairs, health care, garbage accumulations and dereliction of duties. It shall also have
a common contact centre , e-mail communications, if no
action is precipitated. Per day thousand complaints may flow and if no action is taken, such of those officials shall be penalized for dereliction of duties. Such display board shall
be at least in ten places in each ward and it shall be maintained with good readable print. This will enable people to participate in the social activity of area maintenance and city will slowly come under direct supervision of the CITY ZENS. more

If this measures starts, there will be great transparency. Retd. defense personal, Retd Judges in the area could be supervising the job, But no Retd Police, they can't be trusted. But unfortunately, this will not happen, how the corrupts houses will be filled with wealth? more

It may not be possible to display of both in Kannada and English with the designation , office address , Phone and mobile numbers of all BBMP Road, BWSSB, BESCOM and HEALTH officials advising the public to contact on all roads, but it can be made available in web portals and newspaper advertisements made by government every six months. more

Good idea! But we should also have boards at every place where BBMP work is going on. And in every private building project location for which BBMP has given permission. There should be full details of the approved project. For BBMP projects, it should include costs and timelines for completion of each phase. For private projects, the details of floor space and offsets approved should also be given, so all citizens can see if rules are being violated, even while the construction is on, and stop them. more

Yes I agree the above said suggestion of displaying the details of BBMP, BWSSB etc contact details of the concerned officials in the public places in the concerned ward areas like parks, grounds etc. This has to be implemented with immediate effect to raise the grievances in the concerned ward areas. more
