Celebrities Liability in advertisements

I manage commercials for a few celebrities. Can the department of consumer affairs please advise what are the risks and rules for celebrity endorsements. What risk or liability does a celebrity run if the brand they endorse end up committing fraud, misleading consumers or not delivering promised service?

These celebrities became celebrities because of the public. Many people follow them blindly because of their public image. These celebrities are expected to think in favour of public and do some thing for the good of public by at least not associating them selves with non worthy products. If they do it unknowingly, they can change after reasonable time. They should payback to public. more
