CBI ED CVC autonomy

Can we please have a free discussion on how the autonomy and integrity of institutions like CVC CBI and ED be rebuilt from scratch.

These institutions have sufferred a serious loss in credibility with recent happenings, infightings etc.

Who do we trust? How do we trust.

Can we have discussion and may be then polls can be conducted by localcircles manager on what should be done. more

Regulatory authorities like RBI, are expected to oversee implementation of policies and operate within the policy framework of Govt. They can advise or caution Govt but once govt takes decision their job is to implement or get out of the way. RBI should police financial institutions both for performance and processes. One can have, as a citizen, differences with policy but that freedom is not available to the instruments of government. more
Col Sarmaji, Constitution was adopted and India became republic in 1950. Since than it has been modified, amended and even mutilated several times over. Worst was in 1975. We still respect constitution and our governance structure follows constitutional provisions. It is ample proof that we honor and respect their makers. Dr Ambedker has been idolized by large section of society. There is no imminent danger of any harm to constitution. Modi also swears by constitution. It has served India well. more
We need to first understand difference between autonomy and independence. CVC, CBI, ED or RBI are autonomous but they are required to function within the framework of Govt policies. For example, when Govt is keen to promote industrial growth and when inflation is below 5% RBI should reduce the interest burden. CBI is take up investigation under the direction of the court or at the request of the Govt. It cannot initiate suo motto on its own. Nor any of these can function as agents of opposition. One effect of long period of congress rule several key positions are maned by congress supporting executives and will do their bidding or delay investigation if it does not suit some interest group. more
Failure of these, mainly Policing, Financial institutions, RBI, Tax Departments, Education and Health together with JUDICIARY caused multiple losses, agony AND even Tortured Majority Citizens. JUDICIARY to intervene at Constitutional Responsibility. more
We are having a system where Court of Law intervenes in such matters of infighting etc. On Sat, Jan 12, 2019 at 8:31 PM Chitra Kumar wrote: > more
Non empowering Judiciary and President of the Country is only root cause for decades which may even cross Centuries. Constitutional Bodies/4 Pillars, Indian Law Council/Commission, those empowered i.e., IAS, IPS, IRS, IFS, and those connected with Rule, Governance, Public Administration at least recalling their Oath of Promise/motto while taking up the Responsibility as an Employee in the Governments need to realize, and recognize that it was their co-Citizens and their Fathers who Sacrificed Time, Income, Health, Wealth and even Souls to bring Independent Rule and the strain taken by the members of Constituent Assembly which was occupied by Freedom Fighters and associates, the pains taken by them in 60s, 70s, and 80s infighting for implementation of Constitutional Provisions and Mandates. more
