cashless and service charges

This week I went to pay my water bill to Bangalore 1. I was informed that 1 per cent of service charge if I pay through my debit card. Really I was shocked. The Prime Minister says avoid cash transactions and the middlemen are exploiting the people by charging service charges for payment through credit/debit cards. Every train/bus/flight reservation through internet banking attract extra charges. The Bangalore Electric Supply Company charges extra if we opt to pay the bill electronically. Many of these things go unnoticed as the convenience to make payments are important to the payer. However, this is not a healthy practice that when we are trying to improve the country, for everything the public is charged extra. Why we should pay sales tax, service tax etc on spending the tax paid money. Indirect taxes is manifold and much more than direct tax. There should be only one tax that a citizens to pay. To walk on the roads, to drink water, to buy materials to eat food in hotels, for all we have to pay tax and cess. A lion's part of the earnings of a common man is paid as tax. Can Modi Government put an end to this exploitation. more

Harassment from electrical inspectorate to apartment residents ...Office of the deputy chief electrical inspector Bangalore east no 2/3 1st floor aragonite Bhavana dr Rajkumar road Rajajinagar Bangalore 10 ( contact 9886579205 ) is sending notice for engaging licensed electrical contractor for getting compliance report on electrical installations in apartment. This sounds like corruption with electrical contractors and officials hand-in-glove. Residents r disturbed as builders have to ensure compliance. Please help residents. Such notices for government offices r creating a very unpleasant environment for people who want to live in India. On 02-Feb-2017 6:01 am, "RAJAPPAN K N" wrote: more
Office of the deputy chief electrical inspector, Bangalore east, no 2/3, 1st floor, aragini bhavana, dr rajkumar road, rajajinagar, bangalore 10 ( contact : 9886579205 ) has been sending notices to residents of apartments asking for compliance in electrical installations. They want a licensed electrical contractor to be engaged immediately to certify compliance or else the residents will need to pay huge amount as inspection fees to the government. The residents feel that this is yet another corruption being driven in a legal manner keeping contractors ( BWSSB and BBMP have also been doing this ). What kind of country are we living in is what the residents are asking. Please use your influence to submit to prime minister's office, seeking immediate intervention and cessation of such activities which people have been calling as legal corrupt practices. more
This is the reason i say BELL THE CAT early to the government in coordination with the the INDIAN BANKARS ASSOSIATION or through RBI otherwise the people will go back to the cashed economy by stacking cash with them to meet all their sundry expenses which is not an incentive to the demonetisation and cash less exercise done by the government. the early they do it's best to the nation , otherwise it will lead to the generation of BLACK MONEY and PARALLEL ECONOMY. more
In my experience the big malls & ordinary shopkeepers do not charge transaction charges for payment through CC/Debit cards. It is the problem with State/PSU organosations & jewellers. Yes, RBI can come out with a policy. more
