Cashback in eCommerce

These days ecommerce companies in partnership with banks offer cashbacks. one has to spend in say may and cash back will come say in august. sometimes the language is made quite difficult to understand. My ask is simple, anytime a company gives cashback offer, they should issue a monthly cashback statement and post in your account or by email so you know what they owe you. once paid it can be closed.

I urge consumer ministry to look into this and come up with a policy that governs this cashback business. more

The practice of Cash Back is nothing but corruption and greed that we tend to accept. Business can not find surplus money if sensible consumer friendly approach is adopted for day to day life needs. I fail to understand when Banks are firm to charge transaction charges on Debit Cards how they are able to extend Cash Back. Additionally Credit Card Providers are not willing to impose maximum 0.5% fee on transaction through credit cards and if this was done usage of Credit Card would have gone up increasing cash free transaction. On credit cards minimum charges would have been set at Re.1 upto Rs.200 spends. My humble request to all members is to change our thought process for larger benefits in our life. more
