CAPITAL PUNISHMENT FOR RAPE

Dear Freinds,
I am so ashamed of rapes every now & then with no fear to the people. I wish to head the crusade against rape to a women or a child in NCR. I would like to accord capital punishment of killing the rapist by stoning till death. You are with me to abolish this crime for ever? more

Dear Mr. Virmani: While I would be with you on this as well. Our laws are all adaptation of archaic BRITISH LAWS. Nobody ever dared or ventured to change those for pure political reasons. As a man I will not hesitate to accept that men are INHUMAN, when it comes to behaving with women, age is no exception there - level of INHUMANITY may wary. I have seen life for 63 good years. That does not exhonerate women. However all men should daringly accept that such percentage is miniscule, even on today's date - and this is UNDENIABLE fact all over the world. Yes law should be same for all liers and liers should not go unpunished. Punished in a way that others do not venture. This is EASIER SAID THAN DONE. ACHHE DIN AYENGE "SHAYAD". Keep fingers crossed please!!! Best regards to all and no illwill to any one. If my comments/observations have offended anyone, I am ashamed in seeking excuse. SUBBA RAO more
Dear Shri Subba Rao Ji, Thanks a lot for such views. To sum up why not such provision be included in the law and discard existing view that women cannot speak lie. My view is that despite agreeing that most of the women cannot speak lie but the provision in the Law should include if she speak lie then she would be getting the same quantm of punishment. That is what I have been submitting my views on the crime. I will still eagerly await comments of others on such an important issue. more
A normal civilised society does not expect innocents to be punished. However if some one is hell bent upon doing wrong only GOD can save - not humans. In a normal and matured legal system like the one in India, possibility of punishing the innocent is not possible. Discussion would now be that in India everything is possible. Yes I would concur and will not disagree with anybody's stand on that as things stand today. If legal system is purged and purified, then the chances are zeroed out. However, I would be with you sir on this Mr.Virmani, if proven wrong allegation, then the one making such heneous allegations should also be equally handled so that that sends warnings to the others, as we all are looking for men committing such crimes. Normally one would imagine a woman "MAY NOT" do that. SUBBA RAO more
2nd question arises as to how the innocent person implicated in the false case of rape or sexual assault need to be compensated by way of ..................... and ........ so on. more
Read all the comments carefully and agree with all that rape is a heinous crime and rapist should get the capital punishment at Vijay Chowk. I have a very simple one question to ask the intellectuals in this group in the background that rape is a heinous crime. But if the complaint of the heinous crime turn out to be false ( I repeat absolutely false), what should be the the punishment for the false complainant. I again repeat my question is categorical clear with reference to the complaint being absolutely false. I would therefore expect the views only w.r.t the point raised. more
