Can air coolers help with improving air quality
I have learnt that an air cooler is fitted with a filter to help filter out odor-causing pollutants and dirt from the indoor atmosphere. Consequently, the quality of indoor air in your rooms improves if you use an air cooler. Can an expert validate this? more

Air coolers are cooled with water and when air comes in contact with water droplets, the particulate material of all sizes get trapped by water and the air get clean. No requirement of filters. This is exactly what happens with rains. Water droplets falling through air, trap the particulate material and the air is cleaned. more

Air coolers can be used to reduce harmful particles, provided they are fitted with right filters. Air conditioners has certain filters which has the pollution level reduction capacity, but not 100%. more

This is not the right way to look at it. The most harmful particles are the one which are smaller than PM10...to be precise PM2.5 These cannot be trapped by the air coolers. To really find out whether or not this is true is to invest in a Laser Egg and measure the air quality before and after.
