Bribe for registering the property
In Bangalore most of the people will pay Rs15000/ to Rs.20000/-as bribe money to register their property. If one apartment contains 200 flats means registrar department will make huge money. How to stop taking bribe money. In this builder will also support the officials to make his job easy . Why can't properties are also registered similar to vehicles. The seller will just sign the RC book and handover to the buyer and buyer will register the vehicle on his name by paying the fees. Similar way is that property registration possible more

The main reason is people are not aware of the procedures and requirments. The agent will get it done without any harasment. If the procedure for registration and the documents required are made known to the buyers coruption may come down in regstrar office. At present the sub registrars have no responsibility and accountablity. They register whatever prsented by the agents. more

Thanks Venkat for publishing your experience and approach. If we all follow this definitely we can eradicate bribing from government services. Only we need patience and know the steps to complete the tasks. more

recently I spoke to Pm office complaining about this they suggested me to pay money keeping the local vigilance dept and get them arrested,but it is not them how were demanding it but it is arrangement done with builder so that collection agent and disbursing agents are builders in this case what we can do. but I did not give up called the builder and told him will not pay bribe and also asked him why we should pay and make this new currency also black finally he agreed and collected only incidentals like preparation of document etc and said since I have taken loan from SBI i need to get it register with SBI as mortgage for which 5k has to be paid for which I refused again and got it done myself by paying only Rs245/- fee fixed by govt it took me about 3hrs. I agree 100% with Mr Mahadev that we do not have patience to do things always go in search of agents even though the procedures are simple and then make comments on system I have posted my experience in my whats up group of this new community except one person no one responded for it how we can fight. And I strongly believe that the weakest link in this system is our judiciary every one come out using the loop holes in the system this also one of the major reason people do not respond. more
