Ideas for additional revenue for State of Delhi
1. A crackdown should be made cash property transactions so that the actual stamp duties are paid
2. The way to reduce the black money in property transactions is to increase circle rate. Just like its done in Noida - where real rates are only little higher than circle rates
3. Stop Power of attorney totally and open registry of land only
4. Offer to convert power of attorney to land registry on reduced rate. As due to high rate people are avoiding land registry
5. High revenue generating entertainment zones like Disneyland should be promoted
6. State excise on liquor could be increased. Liquor in Delhi is cheaper than in Noida or Gurgaon - we can continue to be cheaper, but difference can be reduced
7. Pull down all illegal advertisement spots and use ad spots owned by the Government
8. Public is allowed to display a particular size of board on their shops / establishment free of cost but they need to register the board online. Any board bigger than the standard size should attract a small fee, payable online
9. Delhi is considered to be cheapest and most unorganized parking system. Let Government make it organized and generate revenue from this
10. Focus on sources of revenue on shops and businesses which do not pay their vat, tax etc.
11. There is a major leakage in VAT collection. It should be made mandatory for the shopkeepers to issue computer generated receipts
12. Gyms, health clubs and beauty parlours evade taxes – they should be strictly monitored for tax paying
13. Offer for all shop keepers to register with Delhi Government with minimum Rs 500-1000 as registration fee
Delhi has got lot of un-authorised constructions which is putting extra load on all the services. Such people should be taxed to discourage future un-authorised constructions and and generate extra money to upgrade services.

1.Charge some fees for parties with more than 500 members, particularly in marriage, birthday, anniversary and other parties. 2. Eviction from extra land occupied by the establishments using land more than allotted/purchased by them. If Delhi Govt. and illegal owner feel that it is not harming interests of state, it should be regularized on payment of charges equivalent to present price of land there. 3. Charges for thelas/thias on govt. land should be fixed and authorization letters should be issued to them for particular business against charges fixed for 6/12 months, so that these persons are not harassed for paying money by police and nonsocial elements for doing their authorized business there. This will also reduce corruption. 4. Only honest and trust worthy policemen should be posted on duties to check vehicles, so that penalties are collected on spots by issuing govt. receipts. It will reduce corruption. 5. House tax should be reviewed and communicated to public. A new wing in house tax should be created to reassess the house tax and for collection.
