Prevention is always better than the cure. Therefore I very strongly suggest that your home should have screens on all windows & doors, i.e. jaali-waali windows & doors. This will prevent the entry of mosquitoes into your home & you will not have to resort to using coils, repellents & ointments that are laced with extremely harmful chemicals. Some people do not like idea of screen doors & windows because they look less aesthetically pleasing but then this is a choice you have to make. I for one have screens on all doors & windows and as a result we do not have even a single mosquito or housefly in our home.

In general burning camphor (place camphor crystals in an open plate and heat the plate from below, say, with a candle flame!) in a room is said to have generally proved effective......better than any alternatives viz GoodNight or Hit or Mortein (skins of many, I hear, are sensitive to "sprays", so be careful.....). On my own person, however, I've used ODOMOS paste and surprisingly, even AFTER the mosquito bite, it gives me instant relief. Wonder oh wonder! Some may call it miracle, but it works on my skin and I'm thankful for that. So, please try out alternatives and see what suits your requirements....it's something like a "hit and trial" method....Major inventions are known to have been the result of "hit and trial" method..... All said and done, I wish you the best of luck and success in your spade work and research.....
