Bar council silence
I hand over my case papers and fee to one of a high court advocate for appeal. The advocate received my documents and fees and kept that for more than four years without doing anything.
I send many mails and messages phone calls....
no response for all and then i complaint to chennai bar council.
The bar council served my complaint to the advocate and send the reply of that advocate stating that the advocate was not at all interested in my case and this was a nuisance case for that advocate.
i send request to the bar council to hand over my case documents.
Almost two years has gone... Not even one reply from bar council for my two reminder.
Plz suggest how to get my documents from that advocate..
What is remedy for me to get my papers... How to punish this kind of advocates to spoil clients case more

I had sugesteted that you File a WP in the High Court against BCI . File complaint before the District Consumers Forum against the advocate more

Bar Council is the authority to take action against such unethical practices. Later, you may file an RTI Application with them to know the status of your complaint. more

Once again, your case is fit for filing before the consumer forum. Assess the value of your complaint and accordingly file in the DF, State Commission or the NCDRC if valued above Rs.1 crore in which case send over the case to me with complete details, affidavit, and an authority letter in my favour as your agent before the NCDRC.
