Are Indians still buying Made in China?

One year post the India-China escaltion in Galwan valley, many of you shared your feedback on the extent of Made in China products purchased by you via the circle survey.

Are Indians buying Made in China?

The good news is 43% Indians did not buy a single Made in China product in last 12 months. At the same time, there is an urgent need for Indian manufacturers and MSMEs to scale such that their quality and uniqueness is available at same or lower prices than the Made in China counterpart.

If you have ideas on how that can be done, do share! more

Going through all the comments and opinions here, it is obvious we have more enemies within the country who oppose growth, for their own benefits. People who oppose imposing UID for maintaining trackability. People who shout “boycott Chinese” without providing a viable option. People whose education and self esteem has been suppressed, who elect the same corrupt politicians, in return of some paltry cash, liquor and food. Governments who divided people along communal, caste and religious lines just to get into power. Governments who provide free power and subsidies to farmers by milking the productive working taxpayers. This same government mismanagement and corruption which is copied by the common man to make a quick buck. See the levels of corruption in COVID-19.. Letting off politicians, babus, police and government servants Scot free or with a temporary suspension in face of unbridled corruption, while the common man can languish for years in prison on false reports like dowry harassment. It will require rules like in China or Singapore to straighten this mess out. Just depending upon the people of the country to “show” their patriotism by boycotting Chinese, while all the time suppressing the by heavy taxes and substandard goods will not work. The cleansing should start from the top down. Politicians should be accountable to the people who elected them. more

It is a matter of Proud that India is a big producer of quality vaccine of CORONA at comparatively cheaper rate means we are having good potential . In otherside on regular item we fail to produce quality product at reasonable price inspite Govt is allowing all supports to MSMEs more
Trade unionism ruined industry Pharmaceuticals ruining Pride of Healthcare . To be Regulated more
Quality of Indian products is poor. Online supplies are defective and the suppliers have to he taken to court to get compensation and cost. It is a harrowing ecperience. Example: cups and saucers or mugs are of shabby design and very small in capacity. Chinese mugs of medium capacity are very beautiful. Once, unknowingly, I purchased 6 mugs of Chines make. They are very beautiful. Though India has excellent artists, our design if cups and mugs needs to improve. more
Unfortunately, indian industry does not go in for mass production keeping both domestic and world markets in mind to achieve cost advantages for competitiveness. Such initiatives are fully supported by the Chinese government. Starting with permissions and Land purchases (including corruption at every stage), ease of doing business is a distant dream in India. more
