Adulteration in food and other eatables

The reform programs undertaken by the Central Government are good but the common man is still feeling the pinch of gross neglect on the medical front like reasonably good treatment facilities, fake medicines, availability and continued manufacture of medicines banned elsewhere in the developed world. Adulterated items like milk, ghee, khova, wax coated Apples, Watermelons Injected with red solution, Litchees sprayed with red spray and the list just goes on and on.
The delayed action on the basic food items like pulses and inability to check the hoarding of these products in states has not helped the matters either.
The common man struggling to make ends meet, does not need mere rhetoric, he expects an affirmative action from a strong central government, which can help him to breathe a little easy.
Let us not forget it is these common people, who help to form an image of the government and its achievements leading to election victories.
The opposition being raucous, loud and helped by a section of the media has been able to overshadow the achievements of this government and present a totally incorrect and negative picture of India, on the global scene. It is high time the media is managed better and the spokespersons of the ruling coalition present a fitting reply to the opposition. more
