The information below from our food safety officers is being shared in public interest
As according to the food analyst report from the central food/referral lab calcutta redbull was declared unsafe due to caffeine content more the prescribed limit and labelling violations regarding misleading claims.
On the basis of this lab report raid was done in akribusiness solutions pvt ltd C-28 sector 4 noida which is the distributor of the redbull energy drink. Cans were siezed and sealed at the moment under the FSS act 2006
Items seized : redbull energy drink
1. Redbull 250ml 2741 cans (110rs per piece)
2. Redbull sugarfree 250ml 746 cans (110rs per peice)
3. Redbull 350ml 1034 cans(140rs per piece)
Total amount of the stock seized is 525360 rs.
Apart from the seizure sampling of the above 3 items were done under the FSS act rules and regulations. Investigation on this matter is in process.

Dear DM GBN, I believe food and safety is also connected through the place where people are consuming the food. For example most of the common places are too dirty. However, I am completely convinced that this is not government responsibility completely, these are people who makes dirty. Now, why I have to suffer just because of few uncivilized people who make my Greater Noida extremely dirty. How about authority make a group bodies of civic society as voluntary basis (who direct report to you, weekly basis or bi-weekly basis) and who help authority in deploying that citizens follow the rule. The only problem is that if someone request anyone then it is life threatening in this part of world. But we have to do it then authority can take care of safety of security. The best example is surrounding at Yatharth Hospital in Greater Noida, which not only stinks but it must not be acceptable a hospital next to it. Making this place clean is just everyone follow the simple rule but people and shop kippers are just creating mess. I believe we can make this Greater Noida best place to live. more

Rather the term discourage will be more careful in future, will be more appropriate. Sense of self guard is required to be adopted otherwise thief is always ahead of police more
