AAP Women Drive - March 3-8

Aam Aadmi Party’s vision to ensure a corruption free India and bring Swaraj in the nation, needs the active participation of all women in this country as equal partners in this political revolution.

Real democracy or Swaraj cannot be achieved unless we have empowerment of all sections of society including the over 58 crore women who represent half the population of this country. It is unacceptable that six and a half decades after we became free and gave ourselves an equitable Constitution, the gap between men and women still remains wide and our women and are still not safe on our streets.

Let us resolve to work together to rid our country of all forms of violence against women and girls and make our streets safe for women.

Our fight against corruption and the related price rise in basic commodities like electricity, water, gas due to corruption, equally affects the aam aurat as much as it affects the aam aadmi and makes their day to day life miserable. We need every aam aurat to join us in this fight against corruption

Aam Aadmi Party is conducting a women’s mobilization drive for AAP women volunteers to reach out and connect with other women in their area and community and help them understand the power of women in AAP, their equal participation in ushering Swaraj and removing corruption in India. This drive will kick off on March 3. AAP volunteers especially women, are being asked to meet with other women in their neighborhood and community, explain the vision of AAP and Swaraj, why Swaraj is important for women, how corruption affects their lives and how they can play an important role in the AAP anti-corruption movement.

All volunteers are asked to plan small group meetings with women in their areas from March 3-8 and ask them to become AAP members and participate in a large rally to celebrate the International Women’s day on March 8. Try to get their contact details and maintain a list of those interested in participating actively in AAP. If they fill the membership form please deposit them as well as the list in local AAP office in your area. more
