today Delhi Traffic Police surprised me beyond my expectation !
I was coming from Raja Garden to Mayapuri at Kiretinagar Crossing one Black Honda citi 4976 passed me emitting un- burnt petrol blue in color (CO) carbon mono oxide to be exact ,
causing breathing problem to other commuters specially the two wheeler riders just behind it me too experienced the same .I got down from my car a brought it to the notice of Police constable standing at the barrier ! He said its not his duty and directed me to Delhi traffic police officials , I wanted to say quite a few things to him but without wasting time I went straight to the Police control room situated at Metal Forging Crossing as expected three policemen sitting their chatting I narrated the whole incident finally make them note the registration no. of the car told them that car can be traced between metal forging anf Khazan Basti .
Now just listen to statement Police constable gave me -
" Hum kuchh nahi kar sakte , agar uske paas pollution check ke valid paper hue to " ????????????????????????????????
which century are we living in ??????
I can give you in writing if any person made to stand next the silencer point emitting c o will faint within 30 seconds ...................... more

To gain more throttle or to make it sound different, people make changes to the vehicle which can be legally challenged. A pollution check certificate can be challenged any time. more

Atleast constable should have the device to lodge complaint on citizen's request & send to immediate senior. Or traffic police should have website to lodge complaint. There is one website that does not take complaints at all. Please try to lodge complaint by delhi traffic police APP on smartphone. more

The rules are made by bureaucrats/ judges supposed to be "Mr. know all". Technical research should be carried out at which point of time Gasoline, evaporating continuously ( lying in abundance at Refineries, storage stations, Petrol pumps, ) turns out to CO & why. Why should the manufacturers/ their authorised service stations/representatives at the time of service not provide PUC. How come PUC providers control the Polluting vehicles- they have been simply licenced to extort money without any contribution to Pollution Control. Has any one studied the efficacy of PUC for CNG vehicles? What can happen if engine is not tuned properly- we may discharge unburnt CNG with the exhaust flue gases. Can any one elaborate, what other harmful gases will ooze out in imperfect combustion of CNG- Petrol-Diesel or can any thing simpler than CNG be used in IC engines. more

Not a surprise to me. Only normal citizens should be disciplined and not the authorities and officials because they are on the other side of barrier created by the Government Administration sacrificing the needed performance. We as a common citizen fall helpless for our needs and the demands of the administration. more
