8 Glasses of water a day

Drinking 8 glasses of water a day keeps you healthy and gay (carefree)!

Your body uses water for fat metabolism, so if you don’t drink enough, you don’t burn enough fat either, says Kathie Dolgin in Reader’s Digest, March 2015.

So, starting now, let’s drink eight 230ml glasses of water every single day, out of which one glasses each before every meal…in order to avoid over-eating!

And, don’t forget my eye care tip of going for your yearly eye examination. more

It takes some time the change old habits. True, initially it appears to be difficult. Those who are habitual of taking water during or immediately after the food, may reduce its intake to maximum 1 cup of water and may decrease gradually. Taking water 30-60 minutes before food will obviate taking lot of water during and immediately after food. In any case taking water/cold water during and/or after the food will dilute the gastric juices preventing timely digestion of food leading to gas formation, acidity, constipation, sleep disorders. Now it is the choice is of people after considering its merits. I have seen few senior executives keeping warm/hot water in thermos and taking it regularly before & after the meal & they were quite healthy. more
I'm impressed with this elaborate schedule for water-intake. While not consuming water during and immediately before and after your meals is a good advice, there are at least two obstacles: (i) while attending a party, it's a bodily requirement to consume water as soon as you reach the venue...as also just after finishing the lunch or dinner as the case may be, and (ii) even at home, due to our changed life-style of consuming oily and hard-to-digest food, we cannot remain without sipping water in-between. The solution seems to be in chewing every bite of food well while it is still in your mouth...so that it turns into liquid state, and this will not only aid digestion (and assimilation) but also lessen the need for water! more
Optimum water optimum Schedule: 1. 1-2 glass on rising up. 2. One glass after 30 minutes of breakfast. 3. One glass before going to bath. 4. One glass after taking bath. 5. 0.5 to 1 glass 30 minutes before the lunch 6. one glass 30 minutes after lunch 7. one glass in late afternoon/pre-evening. 8. 0.5-1 glass 30 minutes before dinner. 9. One glass after 30 minutes of dinner. 10. 0.5 glass before sleeping. The above is for summer schedule. In winter in can reduce water marginally wherever you can. Never drink water during breakfast, lunch and dinners. In very hot summers 0.5 to 1 cup of water can be taken during meals. Cold water is never advisable during or very near to breakfast and meals as it reduces digestion. Hot water is quite useful in digestion of fat and for slimming. You sometimes feel its requirement more in winters. But its utility is same for all weathers. Water being 70% of your body weight is life to your body more
thanks for this useful info more
