Anti-corruption helpline in Delhi:
I have got a chance a audio file which reflects there is an immediate need of training to counselors/advisors. The sooner it is done the better it is. I have few suggestions out of my experience in running a consumer helpline:
1. The name of the advisor/executive need to be disclosed to the caller as it generates more confidence.
2. All calls need to be registered and a unique complaint number be shared with the caller.
3. The executive attending the call should not be given any authority to decide whether the call is a complaint or not.
More suggestions as and when come.

Mr Samir Sharma ,I fully agree with you, but at the same time,it is just an effort in positive direction to start with, as far as movement against corruption is concerned.Modifications and improvements can be done if intention is good.so let us look forward for the better. more
Mr.Virmani's post supported by audio file, and the post by Mr.Akshat Mehrotra on it indicates that there is more noise than real, meaningful work. It is frustrating to note that though their intentions may be good, what is rolled out is amateurish and not what is expected out of a Government. more
Dear Mr.Virmani, by posting this recording you have done a signal service to the members on this forum. Can you have this message reach the gentleman claiming to be AAP rep on localcircles who mentioned this as AAP Govt's achievement that they received over12000 complaints on the 1st day? Incidentally I cant understand how a large no. of complaints is a matter of achievement, if anything its a matter of shame. more
Agreed. Yes, the process of taking a complaint should be streamlined and it will only work if the staff manning it is accountable. Else this will remain as ineffective as the present system of filing a police complaint. more
the name of helpline is misleading then, the helpline should say - anti bribe helpline. Also then state what kind of bribes come under radar. I am a bit disappointed to know that this helpline finally boils down to bribes only and not other corruption matters which are way bigger and more profound. I saw the youtube link given in the post. No docket number, no responsibility shown from the helpline towards complainant. A poor show to begin with. Also just bribe cases reporting is kind of too much restrictive. Most of the times corruption takes other routes by delays, using bad material or material on papers, absenteeism etc. All are forms of stealing and corrupt practices. I don't understand why AAP needed to have launch ceremony for this helpline which is merely for anti bribe scenarios and use the nomenclature of ANTI CORRUPTION HELPLINE? Rename it to anti bribe helpline which will stop misleading people. Secondly, a more thought has to be put in the workflow of this helpline calling and how executives deal with people. more
