Do we consider that 5 star hotels and restaurants are offering better services. They may be charging more and more means charging towards services as cost of food items may be in the same bracket. Yesterday I had a chance to visit Raddison Blu Plaza in some marriage celebration. The gathering could be around 200. In my view the service was poor. We had to wait for quite long before some waiters appeared to serve some soft drinks. It was again a poor serving of soft drinks. We asked for some coffee. It took half an hour that too he came back with one coffee while we were 3 persons sitting together. On an inquiry, the waiters said the snacks would be served at 7.30PM. Never heard of such practices. Thinking that we are in a 5 star hotel may be some time punctuality. However, no snacks could be served till 8.15 PM. Then the food being served was cold. Now time come for final pack off. It took more than 30 minutes during which we had to wait for coffee. I would be sending them a feedback. Meanwhile I thought of sharing the experience recalling that old days Shamiana Tent service may be better than 5 star Hotels and Restaurant besides being cost effective.

Yes, I agree. Most of them are not offering services commensurate with their * level or gradation and are very costly. It is basically for status, show off, and some convenience, people go there more
