Over Pricing
1- I placed PRE-PAID order on 14.10.2018 on AMAZON for 265 Ltr Whirlpool Double Door 4 Star Refrigerator with MRP 31450/-. The price was offered as 22999/- during festive sale, offering discount of about 27%.
2- However after receipt of the item supplied through CLOUDTAIL on 16.10.2018 it was noticed that that MRP of the product inclusive of all taxes is 29270/- only, and not 31450/- as mentioned on website of Amazon during festive sale. Photos of packing slip etc were also mailed to AMAZON.
3- Thus the effective discount allowed was only 21% as against projected 27% through over pricing the item beyond MRP, which is serious breach of trust and cheating the genuine customers.
Various irrelevant explanations were offered by AMAZON, however, the corrective action of refunding the excess charged (2180/- less 27%) and action against Amazon’s Vendor responsible for this have not been taken.
I report this matter through your forum for reaction of fellow readers and request them to just keep a watch for such mischievous and hoodwinking techniques adopted by e- Tailers.
