Implementation of BIS standards for FMCGs is must for national prosperity
The point is what is the use of running BIS and wasting public money when it is not being used.
Strict implementation of these standards will help to conserve Energy (electricity, fossil fuels) and to reduce pollution. We can see the power guzzler gadgets being sold in the market just because of its low cost and high retailers' margin. We observe major fire incidents in summer due to inferior quality of wiring running at peak load results in fire and ultimately casualties.
The standards should be made for industrial equipment and no subsidy or loan should be given to non-standard equipments, to make the implementation mandatory.
