Tamil Nadu Electricity Board - Chennai

Not bad, definitely not good. Unannounced power cuts occur too often, and for someone like me, who depends on his computer for a living, this can be a nightmare.

K.NARAYANAN .Voltage fluctuation is occurring. Power failures has reduced.Street light replacement with LED bulb is not effected in most streets.Some junction boxes poses safety hazards.Improvement is there and we are sure that further improvement will be effected

A lot needs to be done in terms of overhauling the distribution installations. Pill (distribution) boxes for domestic supplies are mostly at street level leading to short circuiting during rains due flooding of streets, lot of underground cables are exposed and to top it all, seldom do we get the contracted 3 phase services. Most of the time only one phase is available. Complaints and grievance redressal mechanism and follow up state is extremely bad!!!!!

There is an Improvement, but there is lot more to improve on maintainence and distribution and execution by local office and the concerned authority absence (posting vacant) in the areas etc., will still make things poor.

Razack garden ,Arumbakkam it is bad- And for all the political meetings the power has been taken from the road connections whcih is public money...and it is been wasted unnecessary. Who gave them the rights to use that electricity I think it is high time we have to stop this un official ways and taking the rules int their own hands. They are using it from one end to another end of the road from the public lights.... It is been happening all over Chennai.. Can we please put an end to it?

POWER GENERATION AND DISTRIBUTION IS GENERALLY GOOD, BUT THE LAST MILE DISTRIBUTION TRANSFORMERS ARE NOT MAINTAINED WELL CAUSING FREQUENT BREAKDOWNS!
