Mumbai Police

Mumbai Police are very good in respond to call by Telephone.
However Traffic Police is not able to cop up with manifold increase of traffic.
They MUST Take strong action for Two Wheelers for rash driving & Honking.
Police force in traffic requires to be increased.
Action must taken against Pedestrian crossing with RED signal. Fine of even Rs. 10 will improve the habit.

Instead of finding safe in the hands of Police, people feel more un-safe. It requires total revamp and more of moral and honest training. FIR should be made on line. People instead of going to police stations, police should reach on the spot on receiving mail.

Till now, my experience with Mumbai police has been very good. They have been very helpful to me & my family. However, I do believe that the police personnel need to be provided with more facilities. They are paid very less, their shift timings are horrible, they don't have adequate infrastructure & support to implement law & order. Also, the police force has to be made more appealing to the Youth so that more people join it. This would only make the government's job easier in making India a safe country. At times, cases of corruption within the force come to the fore because they are frustrated with their jobs & have interference from politicians. They should be given freedom to take their own decisions

They need to do much better.
May be the politicians, for vote bank politics, are not allowing them freedom that they need to implement rules strictly.
