Hi There,
Garbage collection/cleanliness and the road near Kurla station, Opposite the Kurla police station. One should check this, its the worst place in Mumbai. Native place of people are preferable where there is no light and still roads are clean and fine.
This corrupt government does not even look in front of their Government organisation.

The Municipal Corporation is doing a good job of sweeping the road and collecting garbage. However, there are many stray dogs who dirty the roads. Even pet owners do not bother and use the roads as open latrines for their pets.

The sweepers are doing their job and garbage is collected regularly in C.S.Road, Dahisar (E) area. I feel that if there is any machine or vehicle, which can sweep and collect the garbage, human beings can be spared from this dirty task. The place where they store the garbage is always dirty and has to be cleaned periodically by using water and disinfectants, periodically depending on how dirty the place is. On the part of public, it is found that we do not have the inherent quality of not throwing litters, squatting and dirtying the streets and surroundings.

Cleaners do sweep the streets in Chembur but it is some citizens who throw leftovers or plastic covers here and there. Citizens should be conscious and concerned about cleanliness. They should throw garbage only in bins and ask others also to do the same. Things can improve only then.

I live in Chembur opposite Union Park. The streets are cleaned every morning. However, since there are no garbage bins on the streets except in the societies, the garbage is dumped in a corner and they are not always picked by the BMC trucks. Hence garbage bins have to be installed on every street.

Most of the roads are dug up for either cleaning of drains or laying new pie lines. After the work, the debris is left on the sides of the road or heaped on one side. The pavements are either filled with debris or broken branches of trees that are hardly cleared. It is really painful either to walk or drive on these roads.

We do find cleaners sweeping. Surely better than before Modi came in. Earlier we RARELY see them on streets cleasning. Cleaning is must and must be done daily.
