The collection is badly managed. (1). The persons with the trucks (dumpers) who collect from bins handle the bins very rough & atleast 10% is spilled on the road. (2). The number of bins are much less than required at each point. (3). Due to lack of adequate bins, the garbage is spilled around the bins. No one clears these & the one spilled by dumpers. (4). There is absolutely no supervision by any rank. Supervisors of the contractor & Health Assistants should be made to inspect all areas in their jurisdiction.
However the residents & maid servants are also to be blamed for haphazard dumping of garbage in the bins.

I agree with Sri Selvarajan Karuppiah's observation of dumping the muck cleared from drains on the road side in N.Usman road. In the rains, most of these have gone back to the drain. The muck should have been removed immediately. What a waste of money & inconveniences to public? Along with muck lot of plastic & other materials were there in the drain.
Corporation Engineers should think & evolve a scheme or design to avoid collection of so much muck plastic & other materials in the drain. I(as a civil engineer & based on experience in large Township) had suggested three years back to the Corporation (1) formation of silt trap (a depressed portion ) in the mouth of pipe leading into drain & (2). Grills at the mouth of pipe so that plastic & other materials will not get into the drains. I can assure that the collection inside the drains will be hardly 255 of quantity now existing provided that the silt trap which in surface is cleared once in three months & before the rains by the road cleaning gang.

The worst Corporation. In North Usman road they have cleaned the draiage and heap the wastages in the form of clay and sand
on the side of the road before 4 days. They have not cleared this. Even the cows, sheeps etc are parked in the road side which spreads the mosquitos and their related deceases in the area. The corporation people are not at all cared about this

GAR BAGE REMOVAL IS REGULAR-VGK

Garbage collection in my street(C.P.Ranmasamy street,Abhiramapuram) is very very very very poor,There is no permnent Garbage Bin available.Only a tricycle is provide that too not always .So everybody has to throw the garbage on the roadside which will be cleared by the corporation lorry once in a blue moon.It is really stinking as we stay just next to this collecting area.Every time we will have to complain and get it cleared that too after a day or two.
